The GenePath Dx CoviPrep reagent is a proprietary formulation that prepares the sample for downstream processing without the need for an intermediate sample preparation/ RNA extraction step. Samples collected from the upper respiratory tract (e.g. nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal) in standard /non-lytic /GITC free collection and transport media can be transferred directly into a tube containing CoviPrep reagent.
